Lupen Grainne is a fine art photographer, the maker of photographic prints, travel and nature wall art. Originally from Portland Oregon, Lupen is now based in Sonoma County. Her photography depicts the natural world, old architecture, minimal landscapes, coastlands, orchards, and “the often overlooked details of nature.”
Stacy King is a jewelry artist and owner of TheDriftHandMade at Etsy. She makes Bohemian and Southwestern style jewelry with stamped Sterling Silver, brass, Turquoise, Poseidon Variscite, and other semi-precious stones.

She shows her art locally as well as nationally as well as teaches abstract art workshops at her new large studio in Sebastopol and Online. Mary Lee Rybar is a painter, printmaker and lifelong student of the culinary arts and making things. Born in a Western Pennsylvania steel town, she attended Kent State University and the American School of Paris. She started Hunter Designs, producing custom hand painted textiles for a small stable of retailers. Her work ranges from abstract and representational paintings, to printmaking and sculpture. She maintains a printmaking studio at the Grove Street Studios in Sonoma and a home site painting studio.
Gerald Huth is an expressionist artist and works with collages, paintings, sculptures. A quote from the artist: “The role of the artist is to fulfill the human expression of the time in which we live.”
Barbara Tocher creates jewelry with ceramic beads, ceramics, sculptures and candles. Her jewelry often contains elements from Africa and the Middle East.
Helen Mehl is an artist and art teacher who is interested in conveying wellness and Feng Shui through her work. She combines brightly painted colors, layers, textures and symbols. Helen received her Master of Arts degree at San Jose State University, and a B.A. degree from Stanford University in history and art. Helen has taught art in California, Pennsylvania and Hawaii.
“Catherine Bohrman’s compact abstractions in alabaster, bronze and marble possess soft edges that belie the magnitude of their density,” says Allen Hoffman, Legislative Liaison and Senior Program Associate for the Connecticut Commission on the Arts. Catherine now lives in Sonoma County in Northern California. Her sculptures are made of solid bronze, stone, and carved wood, in limited editions.

Judy Butler was known for “painterly plein air oil paintings of the Northern California wine country and Pacific coast.” Judy studied art at Stanford University (BA) and the University of California, Berkeley (MA). Judy lived, worked and painted in Berkeley, New York, Egypt, Silicon Valley, Monterey and the Sonoma wine country. Before devoting herself full time to fine art, she worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, graphics manager and art director.
Maggie Henry is an acrylic and watercolor painter, and a collage and mixed media artist. Her Etsy store, The Painted Spirit, offers her mixed media art and watercolors.
Artist Helene Minelli (1918-2010) was a native of Sonoma Valley, born on a ranch in 1918, and the Valley inspired her lifelong creative works. Her mediums were oil, acrylic, and especially watercolor. She dedicated an impressive amount of service to the local art community, including: President of the Sonoma Valley Art Center and Gallery, later known as Valley of the Moon Art Association; founder of the North Coast Viticulture Art Exhibit and Sales; Trustee on the Board of Society of Western Artists; and Judge for the Society of Western Artists, San Francisco.
Susan Heeringa-Pieper uses a combination of mixed media including bees wax, wire, found objects, and oil and acrylic paints. She holds a degree in art is from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with an associate degree in graphic arts.
Her work can be viewed at the Arts Guild of Sonoma, the Rhapsody in downtown Sonoma, and the Barking Dog in Boyes Hot Springs.
