She worked for the Santa Fe Opera, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Minneapolis Institute of the Arts and the International Opera Barga in Italy. He contributed his time and artwork to the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, where he as an Advisory Council member. Ray was also one of the founding members of the Arts Guild of Sonoma in 1977, an active and supportive member for 30 years.
