Sally Baker is a watercolor artist of Sebastopol, California. She received a B.A. from the University of Southern California, and taught fine arts at Healdsburg High School for 20 years before retirement. Her subject matter includes desert landscapes, and a still life series that focuses on Asian artifacts, kimonos and bamboo.
Ryan Peterson is an Petaluma artist who paints murals and expressionistic works.
Ruby Newman works in a variety of mediums on canvas, paper and prepared panels, also on custom mural designs. She enjoys creating abstracts, contemporary Plein Air landscapes, and figurative and still life studies. Ruby majored in Theatrical Design at the Carnegie Mellon University. She worked for the Santa Fe Opera, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Minneapolis Institute of the Arts and the International Opera Barga in Italy. She also worked over ten years on public projects through the San Francisco Art Commission, including several mural works and the restoration of the 1914 Golden Gate Park Carousel.
Artist Roy Pearson was born in England and studied in London, before his move to Sonoma Valley. He enjoys a wide range of medium, and paints abstract, stylized and realistic subjects. You might see his work in Chevys posters and interiors, as he was their art director and artist before retirement.
Roxanna Ahlborn creates finely hand-painted purses and accessories, known as wearable art and fiber graphics, and also limited edition art prints. “All of my handpainted purses are one of a kind pieces of art.” Roxy attended the California College of Arts and is a native of Sonoma County.
Rod Surber makes bowls, chalices, goblets, vases, boxes, kitchenware and other wooden gift items in functional and sculptural designs. His wood turnings are hand-crafted from locally salvaged timbers.
Rochelle Byrne offers handcrafted metalwork, crocheted and beaded Jewelry from her Etsy store, Sonoma Jewelry Art: handcrafted, distinctive jewelry, necklaces, bracelets and earrings. “We pride ourselves in using only the finest materials and we recycle and reuse whenever possible.”
Robyn Spencer-Crompton is a mosaic artist, inspired. Her work is featured in the book, Mosaic Art and Style by Joanne Locktov. She also teaches fashion design and costume design at the Santa Rosa Junior College and Diablo Community college.

Robin Purcell is a Sonoma County plein air artist, and watercolorist.
Roberta S. Alexandra lives concurrently in Sonoma County, California and London, England. She is known for mixed media paintings, emphasizing encaustic and water-based collages.
Robert Weiss is a ceramic artist of crystalline glazed porcelain, and a photographer. All profits from the sale of Roberts photography and ceramics are given to The Weiss Family Fine Arts Scholarship Fund.
Rik Olson specializes in wood engravings, scratchboard, linocut and pen and ink illustration.
Rick Butler is a metal artist whose interest in welding led to his current interest in making metal totems, garden sculptures and garden panels. He often uses dissimilar metals, and organic materials in his artwork.
Richard Ciccarelli is known for his oil paintings and pastels. He also specializes in the design and restoration of historic buildings including the Plaza Hotel, The New York Public Library, The Frick and Alwyn Court, all of NYC.
Richard Lind creates ceramics, high fire porcelain and stoneware.
Rene Dayan-Whitehead is a Sonoma County sculptor who works with stone. Her work can be described as abstract, organic, and luminous. She was born and resided in San Francisco and before settling in Sonoma County.
Ray Jacobsen (1938-2007) was born in Englewood Colorado, and came to Sonoma County in 1947 with his family. Ray is known for his landscape paintings of Sonoma County. He contributed his time and artwork to the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, where he as an Advisory Council member. Ray was also one of the founding members of the Arts Guild of Sonoma in 1977, an active and supportive member for 30 years.

Ralph Ramirez, the craftsman and wood artist, produces one-of-a-kind decorator and functional bowls, vases, platters, and vessels turned from beautiful Northern California woods; maple burl, redwood burl, black oak burl, walnut burl, and many others.
Rae Ann Williams is Sonoma County artist. Her primary focus is watercolor, but she also is interested in collages.
Popi Tyler is a Sonoma County watercolor artist.

Phyllis Calvin Thomas paints Northern California and Sonoma landscapes. She often works with oil paints and a palette knife.
At Leech Studios, Phil and Ann create jewelry designs with silver, gold, and select stones. Both are natives of Indiana with degrees from the University of Cincinnati, School of Design, Art & Architecture. Phil also creates wood and metal sculptures, pottery and architecture.
The Sonoma artist Peter Crompton specializes in classically rooted, concrete sculpture. He also works as a stage set designer in the San Francisco Bay Area, for the ballet, opera, musicals, contemporary and period dramas.

Peter Krohn is an artist-photographer of Sebastopol, California who creates ”scanography” of botanicals on aluminum.
Peggy Sebera is a painter of landscapes and seascapes. Her artist statement begins, “At the Heart of my Paintings is the Earth, the Land.” She works in oil and acrylic paints.
Paula Matzinger is a Northern California artist, designer and writer. Her favorite subject is a brightly hued California landscape, and she enjoys oil painting in the Sonoma County countryside.
