Patrick Amiot

Patrick Amiot is a Sebastopol sculptor and metal artist who uses found objects to create whimsical sculpture “junk art”. Many are on display in the downtown streets of Sebastopol. In fact his work has become one of Sebastopol’s tourist attractions. Before taking up junk art, Patrick was a ceramic artist.

Patricia Akay is a native Californian artist and art teacher, who specializes in oil painting and watercolor. Akay enjoys painting the Sonoma Wine Country in its ever changing seasons, its historical buildings, landscapes, vineyards and the field workers. She attended the California College of the Arts in Oakland and for a time ran “the Gallery” in Burlingame.

Pat Meier-Johnson

Pat Meier-Johnson is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and a fine artist of Sonoma County, painting with oils on linen panels. Her paintings depict scenes from around the world, and from everyday life in the northern California wine country. “It is my own selfish pleasure to create these paintings and my joy to share them with people who are moved by them.”

Mike Laflin was a contemporary sculptor who worked in wood and metal: “Multiple woods, metal shapes and artifacts, combined in two dimensions or raised in relief. Marquetry and inlay, gilding and patination, figures molded in bronze decorate the designs.” His conceptions included a Kaleidoscope series: “Each circular sculpture is constructed of multiple segments, each individually carved on the bandsaw out of various exotic woods.”

The artist Micah Schwaberow is known for his color woodblock prints, painting and gourd-making. The artist combines traditional Japanese and western techniques into his work. In fact, Micah has demonstrated the traditional art of moku-hanga, woodblock printing for the de Young Museum, Legion of Honor, San Francisco: “Much of his paper work, mainly the woodblock prints, appeared in some precious editions of typographic books, including Tuolumne, Book I, which received the highest award during festivities at Yosemite National Park.
